ASW-1250 and the Non-SCSI Tape Driver
Custom now checks for the presence of the SCO UNIX non-SCSI cartridge tape
driver. The ASW-1250 software and the cartridge tape driver have overlapping
port address ranges.
If Custom does not find the non-SCSI cartridge tape driver, it displays a message
concerning the host adapter prefix. If you see the message about the host adapter
prefix, skip the following section and go directly to "Recording the Host Adapter
Prefix" later in this chapter.
If Custom finds that the tape driver is enabled, it displays the following message:
The non-scsi cartridge tape driver is configured into the
kernel.
Its I/O port address range conflicts with that
of the AHA-152x driver.
If you are using a cartridge
tape drive or think you may use one in the future,
reconfigure the AHA-152x at its secondary address range.
If you never intend to use a cartridge tape, you may
remove the cartridge tape driver from the system configu-
ration files to avoid rejumpering the AHA-152x.
1.Remove Cartridge Tape Driver
2.Configure 152x at secondary I/O address range (140h-
15Eh)
Select an option:
Enter 1 or 2, depending on which way you intend to solve the port address
conflict. Note that Custom asks you if you want to change the port address range
even if you changed it earlier in the installation.
