SAW MOUNTING
WARNING
To avoid accidents, please read the following instructions carefully:
1. Before moving the saw, lock the mitre, bevel and powerhead positions. Unplug electric cable.
2. To avoid back injury, get help when you need to lift the saw more than 30 cm. Hold the saw close to your body. Bend your
knees so you can lift with your legs, not your back. Lift by using the hand-hold areas at the bottom of the base.
3. Never carry the mitre saw by the power cable. Carrying the saw by the power cable could cause damage to the insulation
or the wire connections resulting in electric shock or fire.
4. Position the saw so other people cannot stand behind it. Thrown debris could injure people in its path.
5. Place the saw on a firm, level surface where there is plenty of room for handling and properly supporting the workpiece.
6. Support the saw so the table is level and the saw does not rock.
7. Secure the saw in the desired location on a work bench. The base of the saw has four holes for mounting purposes.
If the saw is to be used in one location, fasten it to the work bench.

SAFETY DEVICES
12.1
Sawhead lock (Fig. 5)
The sawhead lock (21) prevents the unintentional lowering of the sawhead onto the saw table.
The sawhead lock (21) must always be engaged when the sawhead is fully lifted.
12.2
Retractable blade guard (Fig. 6)
The retractable blade guard (22) protects against unintentional contact with the saw blade and from chips flying about.
The retractable blade guard (22) must always close automatically: when the sawhead is fully lifted, the teeth of the saw blade
must be fully covered.
