Using the Software
Toolbelt Software
The Extron Toolbelt software can be used to set up, manage, and troubleshoot the
PVCA 452. For information on using Toolbelt to configure PVCA 452 settings, see the
Toolbelt Help File.
Global Configurator Plus and Professional
Use Global Configurator Plus and Professional to configure PVCA 452 settings, control
ports, and add and configure control interfaces (eBUS, ToucLink Pro, etc.). See the Global
Configurator Plus and Professional Help File for an introduction to the software, and
instructions on starting a project.
Product Configuration Software
Extron Product Configuration Software (PCS) is used for setup and adjustment of
PVCA 452 A/V functions. Firmware updates can also be made using PCS. For instructions,
see the embedded help file in PCS.
Starting PCS

Alternatively, use the TCP/IP panel to connect directly to the PVCA 452 using its IP address.
Enter the PVCA 452 IP address in the IP Address field. Then, enter the device password in
the Password field if required, and click Connect.
NOTE: The factory configured password for this device has been set to the device serial

Open PCS on your computer. The Device Discovery window opens.

Select the desired device from the Device Discovery list. PCS can discover devices that
are connected to the computer through USB and TCP/IP connections.
