2 Remove the backup heater thermal protector sensor from the backup heater.
3 Submerge the backup heater thermal protector sensor in water.
DANGER: RISK OF BURNING/SCALDING
4 Heat the water above 90°C.
5 Measure the temperature of the water. The backup heater thermal protector
MUST trip at a temperature of approximately 90°C.

protector trip at the correct

Prerequisite: First perform a mechanical check of the backup heater thermal

Prerequisite: Stop the unit operation via the user interface.
Prerequisite: Turn OFF the respective circuit breaker.
1 Remove the 2 screws from the backup heater thermal protector bracket.
