circles

Vertical circle indexing
1) Loosen the vertical clamp

(Indexing occurs when the objec-
tive lens crosses the horizontal
plane in face left.)
2) An audio tone sounds, and the
vertical angle (ZA) is displayed.
Vertical indexing has been com-
pleted.

Note : Each time the instrument is
switched on, the vertical

must be redetermined.
