23. CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS
Finally tighten thetop and bottom
adjusting screws as before.
Check the reticle position and re-
peat t h e procedure u n t i l t h e
reticle comes close t o the target
centre.
11) To movethe horizontal reticle line
towards the target centre, adjust
the t o p and bottom adjusting
screws as follows:
Slightly loosen the right and left
adjusting screws b y the same
amount.
To move the reticle
down
(up),
first slightly loosen the
top
(bot-
t o m ) a d j u s t i n g screw, t h e n
tighten the
bottom
(top) adjust-
ing screw b y this same amount.
Finally tighten the right and left
adjusting screws as before.
Check the reticle position and re-
peat t h e procedure u n t i l t h e
reticle comes close to the target
centre.
12) Replace the reticle cover.
Note : Over-tightening the adjusting
screws m a y d a m a g e t h e
reticle. Unequal tightening of
t h e adjusting screws m a y
mean thatthe reticlewill goout
of adjustment.
