26. REFLECTING PRISMS AND ACCESSORIES
1) Precautions for use of reflecting prisms
Carefully face the reflecting prism towards the instrument;
sight the prism target centre accurately.

To usethetriple prism assemblyAP31 orAP32 asa single prism
(e.g. for short distances), mount the single prism APOI in the
centre hole of the prism holder.

Precautions for use of the instrument height adapter AP41

Check the optical plummet of the AP41 as described in Section
23.5.
Check that the optical plummet of the AP41 sights the same
point as that of the SET2C.
Checkthat
(the height of the SET2C in m m ) is displayed
in the window of the instrument height adapter AP41.
The height of the AP41 can be adjusted as follows:

Loosen the 2 fixing screws.

Turn the centre part counter-
clockwise t o unlock it.

Move

up or down until "236"

appears in the window.

Turn the centre part clockwise t o
lock it.

Tighten the fixing screws.
3) Precautions for use of tribrach

Use the plate level o n the AP41 t o adjust the tribrach circular
