Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.

Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
5.
Remove the server from the rack.
6.
Remove the access panel.
7.
Do one of the following:
Remove the air baffle.
•
Remove the midplane drive cage.
•
8.
Install the energy pack:
a. Slide one end of energy pack into the tab on the chassis (callout 1).
b. Push the energy pack down (callout 2).
Make sure that the energy pack is secure.
9.
Connect the energy pack extension power cable to the system board and energy pack cable.
10. Connect the storage backup power cable.
11. Do one of the following:
Install the air baffle.
•
Installing the midplane drive cage.
•
12. Install the access panel.
13. Install the server into the rack.
14. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
