Figure 5-51, Dual Reference Channel Menu 1
The Dual Reference Channel Menu 1 has four controls affecting the instrument's
reference channel, and a key to access Dual Reference Channel Menu 2. Changes to
the setting of these controls can be made by using the adjacent
REF1 SOURCE and REF1 SOURCE
These two controls allow selection of the source of reference signal used to drive the
reference 1 and reference 2 channels respectively, as follows:-
INT
In this setting the relevant reference channel operates at the internal oscillator
frequency.
EXTr
In this setting the reference 1 channel is configured to accept a suitable external
reference source applied to the main console rear panel TTL REF IN input
connector.
EXTf
In this setting the reference 1 channel is configured to accept a suitable external
reference source applied to the main console front panel REF IN input
connector.
EXTr RCU
In this setting the reference 1 channel is configured to accept a suitable external
reference source applied to the 7124 RCU rear panel TTL REF IN input
connector.
EXTf RCU
In this setting the reference 1 channel is configured to accept a suitable external
reference source applied to the 7124 RCU front panel REF IN input connector.
REF1 PHASE and REF2 PHASE
These two controls allow the reference phase of reference 1 and reference 2 to be
independently adjusted over the range -180° to +180° in 10m° steps. Adjustment is
faster using the Keypad or Active Cursor controls - see section 4.1.04.
