13-3 Crane storage

The following measures should be taken if the crane is stopped not using in a longer period:
a. Lock the doors and windows of the operating room and the cab, ensure all the joysticks and
switches are in the neutral or off position, and cut off the power;
b. Wipe away the dust and grease on the body to keep the body clean;
c. Retract all the cylinder piston rods (except vertical cylinder) fully to the extreme positions;
d. Extend the vertical cylinder so that the tire is completely off the ground;
e. Charge the tire to the specified air pressure, fill moisture-proof wood below the tire;
f. All exposed machined surfaces should be applied with grease to prevent corrosion;
g. Clear the dust on the wire rope, and apply grease;
h. The crane is better parked in the storeroom, if it is placed in the open air, the rain, lightning,
freezing preventing measures should be taken;
i.Start the engine and idling bodies once every three months, the operation time should not be less
than 1 hour;
j. The crane stored for more than one year and a half should be cleaned and maintained prior to
use, in addition overall inspection and maintenance for the whole machine should be conducted. Based
on the actual situation, decide whether to replace the engine diesel filter element, air filter cartridge,
diesel mechanism, clean the cooling system and replace coolant.
k. Special personnel should be responsible for the integrity of the crane, which should be able to
put into use at any time once needed.
