Chapter 13 Crane Transportation and Storage
Different means of transportation should be selected for XCT80 truck crane according to the
actual situation. The center of gravity of the vehicle is 1204mm away from the rotation center (the front
direction), with a height of 1950mm.
13-1 Crane transportation mode
The crane can travel on the highway, and can also be transported by other modes of transportation
for long distance. In loading of the crane, the crane operating room, all joysticks of outrigger and the
power switch must be in the neutral position and the off position, and doors and windows are in locking
to prevent the open in the transportation.
13-1-1 Highway transportation
a. Crane road transportation can be self-transportation. Vehicle dimensions in driving state (L ×
W × H): 14770mm x 2790mm × 3890mm, vehicle weight in driving state: 50t [without the main
hook, auxiliary hook, and 8t balance weight].
b. Traveling on the highway should be consistent with the requirements of the relevant national
and local road traffic laws and regulations.
c. The middle hook must be fixed to the fixing hole in front of the frame with a soft rope, to
prevent swinging and causing accidents.
13-1-2 Rail transportation
a. In rail transportation, the crane can be mounted on a flatbed truck;
b. The wheels of the crane must be stuck with a piece of wood or cement blocks;
c. The crane should be tied tightly to the flatbed with rope to prevent loose.
13-1-3 Shipping transportation
a. If the crane is transported by shipping, Ro Ro ship is recommended. Ro-Ro transportationation
is convenient and can save a lot of assembly time, and the crane just need to drive to the specified
location of the Ro Ro ship and fixed.
b. When lifting (a dedicated spreader is recommended) is needed, four horizontal outriggers
should extend to about 4900mm, the wire rope round the legs, and the hook is located above the center
of gravity position of the vehicle.
c. If containers decomposition transportation is adopted, you should contact with our company, our

situation to facilitate transportation.
