4. Check hook and other lifting for damage,
abnormal action or wear. Check hook handle
thread and insurance nut for excessive rotation
likely due to wear or corrosion.
5. Regular calibration of moment limiter
according to the specification requirements.
6. Check the hydraulic system for leakage.
7. Check the brake and clutch function.
8. Check the tire pressure and damages,
turntable and external surface wear. Check the bolt
fastening situation of the wheel.

12-2-4 Inspection for unusual use

If hoisting machinery is stopped not using for
more than one month but no more than one year,
it should be checked according to daily inspection
before use. If hoisting machinery is stopped not
using for more than one year, it should be checked
according to weekly inspection before use.

12-2-5 Test requirements

In the first use of the crane after overhaul as
well as after a serious accident, load lifting ability
test should be carried out. The above overhaul
refers to maintenance by removing or updating
the main structure parts, also including the overall
repair to mechanism or control system, but after
overhaul crane performance parameters and
technical index should not be changed. Before
test, visual inspection and no load test should be
firstly carried out. In the no load test, the operating
and control devices should be flexible and reliable.
Movement of all mechanism should be steady
and accurate, crawl, vibration and impact and
other abnormal phenomenon are not allowed. The
action of limiting and protective devices should be
accurate and reliable.
Visual inspection and load lifting ability test
content should be carried out according to GB/
T5905 provisions. Test shall be conducted by
qualified personnel.
After test, crane torque limiter device
should be calibrated again to meet the prescribed
requirements.
