SECTION 2 - USER RESPONSIBILITIES, MACHINE PREPARATION, AND INSPECTION
General
Begin the Walk-Around Inspection at Item 1, as noted on the
diagram. Continue checking each item in sequence for the
conditions listed in the following checklist.
TO AVOID POSSIBLE INJURY, BE SURE MACHINE POWER IS OFF. DO NOT OPERATE
MACHINE UNTIL ALL MALFUNCTIONS HAVE BEEN CORRECTED.
DO NOT OVERLOOK VISUAL INSPECTION OF CHASSIS UNDERSIDE. CHECKING THIS
AREA MAY RESULT IN DISCOVERY OF CONDITIONS WHICH COULD CAUSE EXTENSIVE
MACHINE DAMAGE.
INSPECTION NOTE: On all components, make sure there are no
loose or missing parts, that they are securely fastened, and no visible
damage, leaks or excessive wear exists in addition to any other crite-
ria mentioned.

Platform Assembly and Gate - Footswitch works properly,
not modified, disabled or blocked. Gate latches and hinges
in working condition.

SkyGuard - See Inspection Note.

Platform Control Console - Switches and levers return to
neutral when activated and released, decals/placards secure
and legible, control markings legible.
4.
Platform Rotator - See Inspection Note.
5.
Jib Assembly (if equipped) - See Inspection Note.
6.
Boom Sections/Turntable - See Inspection Note.
7.
All Hydraulic Cylinders - No visible damage; pivot pins and
hydraulic hoses undamaged, not leaking.
8.
Track and Roller Assembly - Properly secured, no missing
nuts. Inspect for worn track, cuts, tears or other discrepan-
cies. Inspect rollers for damage and corrosion.
9.
Final Drive Hub - No evidence of leakage.
10.
Hood Assemblies - See Inspection Note.
11.
Swing Drive - No evidence of damage.
12.
Turntable Bearing - Evidence of proper lubrication. No evi-
dence of loose bolts or looseness between bearing and
machine.
13.
Ground Control Console - Switches and levers return to
neutral when activated and released, decals/placards secure
and legible, control markings legible.
14.
Battery - Batteries have proper electrolyte level; cables
tight; see Inspection Note.
