The Tool: NETLink PRO Configuration

If a Simatic Engineering Tool is present on the configuration computer that installed the PG/PC
interface, it is possible to configure a NETLink S7-Compact both via the integrated web interface (see
section Status
The tool is accessible under 'Start/Programs/Helmholz/NETLink-S7-NET/NETLink PRO Configuration'
after the NETLink-S7-NET driver has been installed. After this program has been called, the network
will be searched for connected NETLink S7-Compact MAC addresses:
The scan can be repeated at any time by pressing the [Scan] button again. Having chosen any NETLink
S7-Compact adapter out of the provided list, it is possible to configure the device after clicking
[Parameterize...] as described in Section

Note
The set IP address of the connected NETLink S7-Compact devices is not relevant for
search function. The search function uses the device-specific MAC addresses. All other
data in the list is for information only.
Note
In order to be able to use the scan function to find NETLink S7-Compact devices, make
sure that UDP ports 25342 and 25343 are not being blocked by a firewall.
