If the NETLink S7-Compact is active on the bus when reparameterization is required (e.g. a variable
table or block is being viewed), reparameterization is not performed.
The subsequent reset would interrupt the NETLink S7-Compact link.

NETLink S7-Compact Gateways be protected against unauthorized reparameterization via a
password.
If an attempt is made to save a parameter set with an incorrect password, the following
messages is displayed:

If the password is correct during parameterization, the new parameter set will be saved and the
following message displayed:

The NETLink S7-Compact is now restarted.

Creating a station

The [New] button takes you to an input dialog box in which you can store the known IP address of an
existing NETLink S7-Compact device and any name for easier assignment.

The default password is admin.

The password query must be answered correctly and confirmed with [OK].

Rebooting can take up to 15 seconds.

The NETLink S7-Compact is shipped with the factory default IP address 192.168.4.49.
