Model definition

Product type code
The product order code defines the characteristics and features of the HiPerGuard MV UPS. The order
code is unique for each model of HiPerGuard MV UPS and specifies all the parameters needed to order
the product.
Figure 4.1 outlines the structure of the order code.

4.1.

Platform code

The HiPerGuard MV UPS is part of the family of the high-efficiency power converters PCS120.
The platform consists of the PEBB120 Inverter module, PE120 cabinet, UC120 controller and the GDM.
It comprises different products for specific applications.
4.2.

Product code

Each product in the power conditioning portfolio has its own unique identifier. "40" is the code
designating HiPerGuard MV UPS product.
4.3.

System frequency

The HiPerGuard MV UPS is available on different voltages and frequencies. This field identifies the
system nominal frequency. The number "5" defines products developed to work on 50 Hz systems, while
"6" corresponds to 60 Hz.
4.4.

Medium voltage magnetics design

"S" corresponds to the standard configuration for the isolating line reactor and coupling transformer.
