Towing the Sprayer

In case of an emergency, the sprayer can be towed
for a short distance after you open the tow valve.
However, we do not recommend this as a standard
procedure.
WARNING
Towing at excessive speeds could cause a
loss of steering control, resulting in personal
injury.
Never tow the sprayer at faster than 4.8 kph
(3 mph).
Towing the sprayer is a 2-person job. If the machine
must be moved a considerable distance, transport
it on a truck or trailer; refer to
(page
46).
1.
Allow the exhaust system to cool completely.
2.
Remove the undercarriage shroud; refer to
Removing the Undercarriage Shroud (page

Rotate the tow valve
direction to open the tow valve.

Important:
If you do not open the tow valve
before towing the sprayer, you will damage
the transmission.

Affix a tow line to the frame; refer to the front and
rear towing points

Release the parking brake.
6.
Tow the sprayer at less than 4.8 kph (3 mph).
7.
When finished, close the tow valve and torque it
to 7 to 11 N∙m (5 to 8 ft-lb).
