Answering Calls

Depending on your settings, your PCS Phone notifies you of
incoming calls in the following ways:
The phone rings or vibrates.
The backlight illuminates or flashes.
The screen displays an incoming call message.
If available, the phone number of the caller is displayed.
If the phone number is in your Internal Phone Book, the
contact's name is displayed. If you have added a picture to
the contact, the picture is also displayed.
Also, the following softkey option is available:
Mute
(right softkey) to mute the ringer.
To answer an incoming call:
1. Make sure your phone is on. If your phone is off, incoming
calls go to voicemail.
2. When a call comes in, press

Depending on your settings, you may also be able to answer
incoming calls through a hands-free device using a voice command or by
pressing any key.
3. If the Call Guard feature is enabled, press
to acknowledge roaming rates. (See "Answering Incoming
Roaming Calls with Call Guard On" on page 60.)
