Using Voice Control

In addition to PCS Voice Command
use your phone's voice controls to call contacts, dial digits for
phone numbers that are not in your phone book, and many
other call-related functions.
You can record Voice Tags for the contacts in your Internal
Phone Book and use these to voice dial the contact. Your phone
can store Voice Tags for up to 50 contacts. (To create a Voice
Tag, see "Adding Voice Tags to Contacts" on page 119.)
Your phone comes with a pre-recorded list of voice commands,
such as digit dialing, redialing, answering, and "waking up" the
phone with a Magic Word. (To change the pre-recorded
commands, see "Recording Voice Commands" on page 123.)

Adding Voice Tags to Contacts

You can store Voice Tags in your phone that you can use to
voice dial your contacts. You can record a voice tag when you
add a Contact to your Internal Phone Book (see "Adding a New
Internal Phone Book Contact" on page 71). You can also add or
replace an existing contact's voice tag.

Adding a Voice Tag

To add a Voice Tag to a contact:
1. From standby mode, press
scroll to Phone Book (
2. Highlight Voice Tags and press
3. Highlight Add Voice Tag and press
4. Highlight the contact's name and press
(left softkey).
5. Follow the instructions on the display or listen to them as
they are spoken. Keep the label unique. Both "John" and
"John Alexander Doe" can be recorded fully.
Note:
An icon (
) appears next to contact names that have a voice tag.
