Setting Up a Web Connection

Getting Started
Your PCS Phone allows you to connect to a laptop PC to send
and receive email, access the Internet or your company's
network, and more – without searching for a wall-mounted
telephone jack. In just three steps, you can use your
connectivity:
1. First, you will need a Bluetooth PC/PDA Connection Kit
(sold separately).
2. If necessary, connect the Bluetooth adaptor to your
laptop PC.
3. Finally, take a few minutes to install the PCS Connection

Manager
For complete details on how to install and use the software,
refer to the user guide in the Connection Kit you purchased.
Placing a Data Call
To place a data call:
1. Make sure your laptop PC and PCS Phone are paired for
Bluetooth connection.
2. Open the PCS Connection Manager
computer and place the call.
The phone displays a connecting message.
Once the call successfully connects, your phone displays
various icons that indicate the status of the data call (see
"Viewing the Display Screen" on page 9 for more
information about icons).
