2 Product Description
2.1 Product design
DCM 711 is a controller for a single-pump installation. The controller is part of the Pareo
system.
The controller is available as a control module or as a control box.

2.1.1 Intended use
The product is intended to be used in the Pareo system, to act as controller for a single
pump which moves wastewater, sludge, raw and clean water. Always follow the limits that
are given in the technical literature for the Pareo system and DCM 711. If there is a question
regarding the intended used of the equipment, please contact a local sales and service
representative before proceeding.
Manual reset
The Pareo box can be remotely controlled. Manual reset must be the default mode for all
slurry pumps. Automatic reset cannot be used with slurry pumps.
Mixer
The Pareo system must not be used with slurry pumps that are equipped with mixers.
Site-specific evaluation
A site-specific evaluation must be done to examine risks of injury when working in or near
the pump inlet. Mitigations may be needed, for example a separate emergency stop in close
proximity to the pump.
2.2 System Description
2.2.1 Overview
The Pareo system consists of a pump and DCM 711.
The system is set up in one of two modes:
• Pareo mode
• Standard mode
