Electrical connection

Safety notices
Ä Before connecting the device, be sure that the supply voltage agrees with the value printed
on the name plate.
Ä Connection of the device and maintenance work while under voltage must only be carried
out by a qualified electrician.
Ä The power supply unit for the generation of the supply voltage for the device and the corre-
sponding connection units must have a secure electrical insulation according to IEC 60742
(PELV). For UL applications: only for use in class 2 circuits according to NEC.
Ä If faults cannot be cleared, the device should be switched off and protected against acciden-
tal use.
5.1

Voltage supply

The scan engine is designed for connection to a 3.3 V supply voltage.
• 3.3 V DC (pin 2)
• GND (pin 3)
A DCR40-IFK interface kit (50136748) is available for use with the MA-CR Modular adapter unit (see chap-
ter 13.2 "Accessories").
• With the DCR40-IFK interface kit, the scan engine can be connected to the MA-CR Modular adapter
unit (50128204).
• The MA-CR Modular adapter unit provides a device-to-host interface to connect to a PC for evaluation,
with spring terminals, Molex connector, and D-SUB 9-pin socket.
• With the MA-CR Modular adapter unit, the voltage supply of 10 ... 30 V DC can be fed in via spring ter-
minals or, alternatively, 5 V DC can be fed in via a micro USB connector.
