Operation of the device
1, 3, 5, and 7 measurements per eye can be selected both in
automatic and manual mode. In automatic mode, multiple
measurements are performed consecutively as soon as the eye is
focused and centered correctly. During this sequence the display is
locked for the user.
The sphere shift can be set in steps of 0.125 D and a range of -2.0 D
to +2.0 D.
Setting the illumination parameters
The device permits the adjustment of various illumination parameters for
refraction measurement. This can be helpful, particularly in the case of eyes
with clouded lenses or implanted IOL. When measuring eyes without
pathological finding, the Standard mode illumination parameters can be
retained.
Table 3 summarizes the illumination parameters of the device.
