III. Connecting the console cable
When configuring the VG through a console terminal, follow
these steps to connect the console cable:
Step 1: Select a console terminal.
The console terminal can be either a standard ASCII terminal
with an RS232 serial interface, or a PC, with the latter being more
widely used.
Step 2: Connect the cable.
Power off the console terminal, and then connect the RS232
serial port to the console port of the VG via the console cable.

3.5 Connecting the VG to LAN/WAN

I. Introduction to the Ethernet interface
Two fixed 10/100BASE-TX FE ports are available for the VG for
LAN/WAN connection.
