DNID (Data Network Identification)

When you make a contract with an information provider, DNIDs are downloaded from
the information provider to the FELCOM, via the appropriate LES.
Up to 64 DNIDs can be downloaded to the FELCOM. You can see which DNIDs are

How to enable, disable DNIDs

Note: The [Disable], [Enable (24-hour)] and [Enable (Temporary Stop)] settings
are for LRIT only. Only use these settings with a DNID for LRIT.
1) When anchored or docked, the [Enable (24-hour)] and [Enable (Temporary Stop)]
settings can be used to temporarily stop of send 24-hour interval reports.
2) When the setting is changed from [Enable (24-hour)] or [Enable (Temporary Stop)]
to [Enable], reports are sent at 6-hour intervals again. Where DNID is set to a DNID
other than for LRIT and [Enable (24-hour)] or [Enable (Temporary Stop)] is select-
ed, change the setting to [Enable] then ask the administrator for a compatible
DNID for LRIT and request a polling command from the land station.
3) The interval reports can be stopped by selecting [Disable]. Interval reports will not
be sent after reverting the setting to [Enable]. To reinstate the interval reports,
change the setting to [Enable] then ask the administrator for a compatible DNID for
LRIT and request a polling command from the land station. Where the DNID is not
compatible with LRIT, follow the procedure mentioned above, even when selecting
[Disable].
