CAUTION!
Be sure to take care of any problem you find, or have authorized service dealer to
correct it, before you operate the engine. Improper maintenance to this engine, or
failure to correct a problem before operation, can cause malfunction in which you
can be seriously hurt or killed.

HIGHER ALTITUDES

The engines operating at high altitudes (above 1600 meters above sea level) require the special
attention, because decrease of the fuel mixture saturation ratio to supersaturation. This
leads to the power loss and higher fuel consumption. For more information, contact an
authorized service center.

OPERATION

WARNING!
The mower must not be operated without a complete grass catcher or without
a self-closing protective cover for the opening in place.

CAUTION!
Immediately after you start the engine, the mower blade begins to spin. Even after
turning off the engine, the blade will continue rotating for a few seconds. Keep your
hands and feet away from rotating parts.

WARNING!
Engine produces carbon monoxide during operation. It is a colourless, odourless
poisonous gas. Breathing carbon monoxide can cause nausea, faintness, reproductive
disorders or even death. Do not start the engine in a closed space which can cause an
accumulation of carbon monoxide.

TO START ENGINE

1.
Ignition is connected through the cable and the spark plug cap (the rubber boot) with
the spark plug. Check the connection (fig. 16A).
2.
Press the primer bulb (fig. 16B) 1-3 times before starting the engine. Priming is usually
unnecessary when restarting a warm engine.
3.
Standing behind the mower, grasp the brake control handle (fig. 17A) and hold it against
the upper handle as shown in.
4.
Grasp the starter handle (fig. 17B) and pull gently on the starter handle until it begins to
resist, then pull quickly and forcefully upwards.
