    • Prolonged use of the machine may lead to disorders of blood circulation in hands caused by vibration. These effects can be worsened by low ambient temperatures and/or by gripping the handgrips excessively tightly. Period of use you can extend with appropriate gloves or regular breaks.

    ENGINE OPERATION WARNINGG! Engine produces carbon monoxide during operation. It is a colourless, odourless poisonous gas. Breathing carbon monoxide can cause nausea, faintness, reproductive disorders or even death. • Do not start the engine in a closed space which can cause an accumulation of carbon monoxide.

    • Always follow the principles of first aid in case of any injuries. • If there is a cut, cover the wound with a clean bandage (fabric) and press down firmly to stop the bleeding. • If the skin is burnt, avoid further exposure to the source of burns first. Cool the injured areas of smaller extend with water of preferably about 4-8 °C.

    For general use all year round, we recommend SAE 10W-30 HECHT 4T. • For general use in winter it is recommended to use SAE 5W-40, HECHT 5W-40. • Choose optimal oil viscosity that match the ambient temperature at which you are going to operate the machine (fig.
  • Page 29: Engine Pre-Operation Check

    CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL AND ADDING Check the oil level only when the engine is off and cool. The machine must stand level. Note: Remove the oil filler cap / dipstick (fig. 9A) and dry it thoroughly. Pull the plug of the oil filler cap/dipstick fully into the oil filler neck, but screw it. Then remove it.

    • You can use any single-stage gear oil which in the winter meets the SAE 85W grade and lower, in summer SAE 80 or higher. In case of using the multi-stage oil then combine these winter and summer grades, e.g. SAE 80W-90. Choose the SAE oil viscosity grade to match the temperature conditions of the place of use •...
  • Page 31: To Stop Engine

    CAUTIONG! Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine. Return it gently to prevent damage to the starter. Rapid retraction of starter cord (kickback) will pull hand and arm toward engine faster than you can let go. Broken bones, fractures, bruises or sprains could result. Return the starter handle slowly to the rope guide bolt after engine starts.

    MOWING Start the motor. Use the throttle to set the motor to the required speed. Press the clutch lever for cutter and keep it pressed. Press the self-drive control handle and keep it pressed. Switch off the motor after completing the work. INFORMATION ON MOWING C Ensure that the respective engine ventilation slots do not get clogged with cut material and as such the engine is no longer cooled sufficiently.

    WARNINGG! Prior to any work on the machine (maintenance, inspection, replacement of accessories, servicing) or before storing it, ALWAYS SWITCH THE ENGINE OFF, wait for all moving parts to stop and allow the machine to cool down. Prevent the engine from being started accidentally.

    TYRE PRESSURE Ensure correct tyre pressure. If the air pressure is too low, the tyre may become damaged or slip off. Excessive tyre inflation may result in tearing of the tyre. The correct inflation pressure is always provided on the side of the tyre. Use a tyre inflator containing a pressure gauge to inflate the tyres.
  • Page 36 Drain the engine oil when the engine is warm. Warm oil drains quickly and complete. Attention: Do not drain oil when the engine is runningG! When you drain the oil from the top oil fill tube, the fuel tank must be empty or fuel can leak out and result in a fire or explosion.
