MPG

A manual pulse generator (MPG) used for this CNC employs the open collector
output, and cannot well withstand the noise.
If the length of the cable between the MPG and connector is 2 m or over, it is
effective to insert a bypass condenser between the power supply and frame ground
(FG). Also, it is more effective to twist phase A and phase B signal cables and 5 V
power cables with LG (0 V) cables as shown in the figure below.

Measures against Lightning and Radio Hindrance

If measures against lightning are necessary, equip a surge protector such as
R.A.V.–781BXZ–2A (made by Okaya Denki) on the secondary side of the main
power supply breaker on the CNC control panel.
There are cases where radio hindrance is caused by noise from inverters of servo
units, etc. As a countermeasure, mount a noise filter or a radio noise filter
(3XYEB–105.104; made by Okaya Denki) commercially available.
