User Media Drive Unit (FDU2)

(1) Isolate the FDU2 from the power drive circuit. When mounting the unit at a
place where it cannot be isolated, they should be more than 150 mm away from
each other or electromagnetic shielding should be executed to avoid an adverse
effect by noise.
(2) As the floppy disk is susceptible to heat, DO NOT mount the FDU2 at the same
place where a heating device is located.
(3) Locate the unit in such a manner that the operating surface is on the lateral side,
as shown in Fig. 3.4.4. The FDU2 cannot be mounted in the manner of (IV).
When the floppy disk unit is mounted in the manner of (I) , the characters (RUN,
BUSY, ERR) are reversed or turn sideways.
