Replacing procedures of batteries in the battery box (A)
When replacing the batteries with the MCU door kept open:
(1) Three (3) size AA alkaline batteries are used (three (3) size D alkaline batteries
for BBOX1). Make provisions of them in advance.
(2) Turn on the power of the CNC system for more than ten (10) minutes. (The
battery backup power supply in the encoder is charged.)
(3) Jot down the machine coordinate of each axis.
(4) Turn off the power of the CNC system and wait for one (1) minute.
(5) Replace the batteries with new ones.

(6) Turn on the power of the CNC system again.
(7) Make sure that the machine coordinate of each axis coincides before and after
battery replacement. (See Note 2 below.)
Replacing procedures of batteries in the battery box (B) BBOX1
When replacing the batteries with the MCU door kept closed:
(1) Three (3) size AA alkaline batteries are used (three (3) size D alkaline batteries
for BBOX1). Make provisions of them in advance.
(2) Replace the batteries while the CNC power is turned on.
Notes:
1) Replace the batteries once a year.
2) Unless the machine coordinate of each axis coincides, restore in the following
procedures.
(1) Move the machine to the machine zero (0) point.
(2) Set the absolute coordinates in the SET HOME mode.
