If temperature monitor

indicates a malfunc-
tion, it may help to protect the charging cable
from direct sunlight.
To reset the charging cable operating unit: if
safety system

indicates a charging cable mal-
function or a vehicle malfunction, first reset the
charging cable operating unit. To do this, discon-
nect the charging cable from the vehicle and from
the mains socket and wait for approximately five
seconds. If the malfunction persists after the
charging cable is reconnected, charging at the
mains socket is not possible. The charging cable
must be replaced or the vehicle plug must be
checked at a qualified specialist workshop,
depending on the indicator.
Functions of the indicator lamp on the vehicle
socket
The socket flap is centrally locked and unlocked
together with the vehicle.
The color and signaling of status display
the following meanings:
Locking status
Lights up white: vehicle socket unlocked;

insert or remove charging cable
Flashes white: disconnection or malfunction
R
during locking or unlocking
Charge status
Lights up blue: charging process completed
R
Flashes blue: charging; active energy flow
R
Lights up orange: charging paused
R
Flashes orange: connection is being estab-
R
lished
Flashes red (for approx. 90s): malfunction in
R
vehicle; charging not possible

Vehicles with active ambient lighting: when
the charging sequence is activated, the
charge level is also accompanied by ambient
lighting (
page 147).

The charging process uses high voltage.
If the charging cable, the vehicle socket or the
mains socket are damaged, you could receive
an electric shock.
