Arm or deactivate Tow-away Protection.

Tow-away alarm is armed again in the following
cases:
The vehicle is unlocked again.
R
A door is opened.
R
The vehicle is locked again.
R
Function of interior protection

This function may not be available in all coun-
tries.
When interior protection is armed, a visual and
audible alarm is triggered if movement is detected
in the vehicle interior.
Interior protection is armed automatically approx-
imately ten seconds:
after the vehicle is locked with the SmartKey
R
after the vehicle is locked using KEYLESS-GO
R
Interior protection is armed only when the follow-
ing components are closed:
Doors
R
Trunk lid
R
Interior protection is automatically deactivated:
after the Ü or H button on the Smart-
R
Key is pressed
after the start/stop button is pressed with the
R
SmartKey in the stowage compartment

The following situations can lead to a false alarm:
when there are moving objects such as mas-

cots in the vehicle interior
when a side window is open
