2.6 Operating the Paging Server

When you call to make a page, the Paging Server generates a tone over the phone.

When you hear this tone, enter the two-digit code for the zone that you want to page.
●
The Paging Server establishes a connection to a zone.
●
The Paging Server generates another tone to the phone.
●
When you hear this tone, you can begin speaking.

For page-all, you simply configure all speakers with a particular multicast address and port
number combination, which represents one of the 100 zones that the paging server will
support initially. Each speaker can still be part of 100 other paging zones in addition to the
one page-all zone.
