7. Troubleshootings

Symptoms
The powder does not
come out
Powder does not adhere
to the part to be painted
Abnormally high current
consumption
Probable causes
Incorrect installation
The projector is incorrectly set
Insufficient air flow rate supplied by the
compressed air circuit.
The powder-carrying hose is obstructed
The 60° or 90° powder elbow is plugged
The part is not correctly grounded.
The electrode is covered in hardened paint
or soiling.
The voltage is not sufficiently high.
Ground wire too close to the projector
electrode.
Remedies
Check that the spray gun installation and
connections comply with the instructions

Check the circuit.
Clean the powder-carrying hose using
compressed air.
Clean the swivel powder elbow with
compressed air.
Ensure that the electrical resistance of the parts
in relation to the ground system is less than

delivered is less than 30 μA for flat spray

Increase the voltage, but ensure that the current
