Take all necessary safety precautions
!
when lifting the unit up to the roof.
1 . Loosen foot nuts . Rotate feet into mounting position
(they should look like illustration at right) . Re-tighten
foot nuts .
2 . If the fasteners you have chosen require pilot holes, place
the unit in its location and use the foot holes to mark the
pilot hole locations . Drill pilot holes .
In the event your fasteners do not align with roof beams, it is highly recommended you

drill extra holes in the mounting feet for additional mounting strength .
3 . Apply roof-compatible sealant to roof around entire area where fasteners will penetrate the roof .
4 . Mount the unit using foot mounting holes and any additional mounting holes you drilled .
5 . Seal all fastener heads and foot perimeter with roof-compatible sealant .
Depending on your roof, you may wish to use fasteners in combination with the sealant.

The installer is responsible for determining the best fasteners, and for waterproofing all holes
and sealing all fastener heads.
The stow plate mounts 16" in

front of the base mount body.
1 . Apply roof-compatible sealant
around perimeter of stow plate .
Make an "X" with sealant in the
middle .
2. Press stow plate firmly into place.
