Connecting the Ethernet cable
■Connecting
*1 The time taken for the LINK LED to turn on after connection of the cable may vary. The LINK LED normally turns on in a few second.
However, if link-up processing is repeated due to a condition of a device on the line, the longer time may be required. If the LINK LED
does not turn on, refer to the following and take a corrective action.

Both PORT1 connector and PORT2 connector can be used.
• When only one connector is used in star topology, either PORT1 connector or PORT2 connector can be
connected.
• When two connectors are used in line topology or ring topology, any combination including a connection
between PORT1 connectors, between PORT2 connectors, and between PORT1 and PORT2 connectors is
possible.
1.
Power off the power supplies of the multiple input
module and the external device.
2.
Push the Ethernet cable connector into the multiple
input module until it clicks. Pay attention to the
connector's direction.
3.
Power on the module.
4.
Power on the external device.
5.
Check if the LINK LED on the port into which the
Ethernet cable is connected is on.
