Safety considerations
WARNING Risk of death due to oxygen shortage and smoke gases
The oxygen content in the extinguishing zone is heavily reduced during the extinguishing
process. Smoke gazes have also arisen. A risk of asphyxiation exists.
• Enter the extinguishing zone only with atmosphere-independent breathing equipment.
• Do not re-enter the affected rooms until the fire department has given the all-clear.
• Follow the instructions given by the rescue workers.
WARNING Risk of death from re-ignition
When the effective concentration of the extinguishing agent drops due to the ventilation
of the extinguishing zone, the fire may be reignited by any sources of ignition that may still
exist. There is a risk of sustaining severe or fatal injuries.
• Do not re-enter the affected rooms until the fire department has given the all-clear.
• Be prepared for re-ignition at all times. Keep suitable extinguishing agents (e.g. fire extinguishers)
on hand when ventilating the extinguishing zone.
