Safety Instructions
Before using the pay station for the first time, please read this user guide and in particular the safety instructions care-
fully at least once. This is to ensure that you have understood the contents of this user guide and how to operate the
pay station.
2.1

Intended Use

The Paypod™ pay station is intended for use at points of sale. It is designed to check different coins and banknotes of
a certain currency deposited into the coin input funnel or banknote insertion slot for specific properties. The pay station
accepts only valid coins and banknotes. Suspicious or damaged cash will be rejected. Accepted cash is sorted into
the appropriate coin or banknote recycling units and returned to your customer as change. Use the pay station exclus-
ively for this purpose. Misuse of Paypod™ pay station may void the users warranty. Please consult this manual, your
authorized Paypod™ pay station installer, or CPI for additional guidance.
The Paypod™ pay station has been built in accordance with state-of-the-art standards and the recognized safety di-
rectives. Nevertheless, this equipment can constitute a source of danger. Therefore, please observe the following safety
instructions.

The pay station is designed for indoor use under dry conditions only.

Use the pay station only in accordance with its intended use. Misuse of Paypod™ pay station

may void the users warranty. Please consult this manual, your authorized Paypod™ pay sta-
tion installer, or CPI for additional guidance.
Do not throw, drop or insert any foreign objects into the device.

Keep water and other liquids away from the pay station.
·
Switch the device off and disconnect it from power before cleaning the pay station.
·
Please contact your service partner or Crane Payment Innovations for work on the pay sta-
·
tion which is not described within this user guide and has to be carried out by qualified tech-
nicians or CPI-trained and authorized personnel.
Please dispose of the pay station correctly at the end of its service life.
