Inspect Every 1 000 km ( 600 miles) and
Replace Every 6 000 km

R e m ove the ca rbo n deposits with w i re o r p i n and
adj u st th e spa r k pl ug gap to 0.6 - 0.7 mm (0.024
- 0.028 i n ) , measu r i ng w ith t h i c kness gau ge.
When rem ov i ng ca rbon deposits, be s u re to observe
the appea ra nce of the p l ug, not i ng the co l o r of
th e carbo n deposits.
The co lor observed i n d icates whether the stan d a rd
p l u g is su ita b l e o r n ot. I f the sta n d a rd p l ug is apt
to overheat ( p o rce l a i n is wh itish in appearance ) ,
rep la ce w i t h co lder o ne.
