STARTER SYSTE M WITH LI MITER
When the sta rte r va l ve is p u l led u p, the f u e l mete red by the sta rte r jet is m i xed with a i r com i ng from the
f l oat cha m ber. T h i s m i xtu re, rich with fue l , f l ows i n to the sta rte r va l ve a rea and m i xes aga i n with air com i n g
from t h e sta rte r a i r passage.
The two successive m i x i n gs of fuel with a i r a re such that a proper fuel/a i r m i xt u re for sta rti n g is p rod u ced
when the mixt u re is sprayed out t h ro ugh sta rte r outlet i n to the m a i n bore.
The sta rte r system featu res both a s u m me r and w i n te r sta rte r sett i n g for easy sta rti n g in a l l a i r te m pe ratu re
co nditions. Th e sta rte r circuit is fitted with a " l i m i ter" device that a l l ows the sta rter p l u n ge r to o n l y m ove
to the s u m me r starti n g position u nder n o rm a l use of the sta rte r. S u m mer sta rti n g tem pe ratu re con d itions
a re considered to be i n the
