WARNING The ATV can start moving as soon as you release the parking brake. Unexpected movement can cause you to lose control of the ATV. Make sure to apply the rear brake before you release the parking brake. Release the rear brake lever and open the throttle gradually to move forward.

TOOLS SPARK PLUG Your LT-Z50 comes equipped with an NGK CR6HSA or DENSO U20FSR-U spark plug. To determine if the stan- dard spark plug is right for your usage, check the color of the plug’s porcelain center electrode insulator after vehicle operation. A light brown color indicates that the plug is correct.

THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT WARNING Operating the vehicle with an inadequate throttle cable play can be hazardous. Inadequate throttle cable play can cause engine speed to rise sud- denly when you turn the handle- bars. This can lead to loss of rider control.
FUEL HOSE To adjust the idle speed properly, you need a tachometer. If you do not have one, ask your Suzuki dealer to per- form this adjustment. Inspect the fuel hose for damage and fuel leakage. If any defects are found, the fuel hose must be replaced.
ENGINE OIL Long engine life depends much on the selection of a quality oil and the periodic changing of the oil. Daily oil level checks and periodic changes are two of the most important mainte- nance items to be performed. Engine Oil Level Check Follow the procedure below to inspect the engine oil level.
