PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

CAUT I ON:
Never reuse a circlip. After a circlip has been removed from a shaft, it should be discarded and a new
circlip must be installed.
When installing a new circlip, care must be taken not to expand the end gap larger than required to
slip the circlip over the shaft.
After installing a circlip, always insure that it is completely seated in its groove and securely fitted.
Tighten bolts a n d n uts from the o nes of l a rger d i a m eter to th ose of sma l l e r d i a mete r, and from i nside to
outside d iagona l l y, to the spec ified tig hten i n g torque.
Use special tools wh ere specif ied.
U se specified gen u i ne pa rts a n d reco mmended o i ls.
When more tha n 2 perso n s pe rfo rm wo rk together, pay attenti o n to the safety of each other.
After the reassem b l y, check pa rts for tig hteness and operat i o n.
Treat gaso l i ne, w h ich is extre m e l y f l a m m a b l e and h ig h l y ex p l osive, with greatest ca re. N eve r use gaso l i ne
as clea n i n g solvent.
