is a p p l i e d , the spri n g forces the d iaph ragm back, p ush i n g the fuel th rou gh the outlet to the carbu retor.
A se ries of check va l ves is used in the fue l f l ow route to a l l ow the fuel to m ove in o n l y one d i rection,
th rough the pump body. The pump is m o u n ted as nea r to the fue l ta n k as poss i b l e for the g reatest effi­
ciency .
