3.6.6 Measurement:

Sterilize the pachymetry probe before use.
Do not use the pachymetry probe with its contact section
damaged.Measurement error may occur, and the cornea may be
injured.
The converted acoustic velocity directly affects the measurement data.
Check that the desired value is set before starting measurement.
The measurement data can be displayed as the actual measurement or
a bias value.Check the setting of the data display mode.
When the surface of the cornea is dry, wet it with saline solution.
The automatic measurement function is an auxiliary function to take
measurements more easily and is not a function used to actually make
clinical judgment. The physician must examine the measurement result
before using it.
a) Auto measurement
1)
Set the pachymetry probe perpendicular to the point to be measured.
2)
The instrument automatically starts capturing measurement data when capturing
conditions are satisfied.
3)
A beep sounds when the measurement data is captured.
4)
When 20 sets of measurement data are captured, a beep sounds twice to
indicate completion of measurement.
5)
When the pachymetry probe is removed from the cornea, the next memory slot
enters standby mode. Measurement is completed and the next memory slot
enters standby mode when the probe is removed from the cornea even before 20
data sets are captured.
6)
Take measurements for all 10 memory allotments in the same manner.
7)
When retaking measurements in a specific memory slot during or after
measurement, touch the desired memory number to enter standby mode and
perform measurement again.
b) Manual measurement
1)
Set the pachymetry probe perpendicular to the point to be measured.
2)
The instrument beeps when the capturing conditions are satisfied.
