c) Selecting the retina waveform
Use the attachment for applanation tonometer provided with the instrument when
measuring axial length with the applanation tonometer.
1)
Firmly hold the prism attachment section (1) of the applanation
tonometer with your fingers so that it does not move.
2)
Insert the applanation tonometer attachment (2) into the prism
attachment section from the patient side (Fig.1).
3)
Insert the biometry probe (3) into the attachment from the physician side,
tighten the plastic screw (4) with a screwdriver and secure the biometry
probe to the attachment (Fig. 2).
4)
Secure the measurement knob of the applanation tonometer to the
following positions to prevent pressure on the cornea.
-
10 mmHg when the intraocular pressure of the eye is 20 mmHg or
lower
-
10 mmHg lower than the intraocular pressure when the intraocular
pressure of the eye is 20 mmHg or higher
Settings made here are only effective for the eye currently selected.
Settings cannot be made for both eyes simultaneously. Complete
necessary settings for each eye.
Set the retina gate cursor to the left of the retina waveform when there is a
waveform between the waveform on the back of the crystal lens and retina
waveform and the instrument cannot recognize the original retina waveform. The
instrument recognizes a waveform on the right of the retina gate cursor as the
retina waveform and conducts measurement.
Select "Retina" and touch the gate cursor movement button to move the retina
gate cursor to the left of the retina waveform.
