Quick connector installation
1. Install:
• Quick connectors
Installation steps:
1. Install the corrugated tube 1, clamps 2,
and quick connectors 3 onto the fuel hose
4.
WARNING
Do not reuse the clamps, always replace
them with new ones, otherwise fuel could
leak.
TIP
• Align the paint marks a on the fuel hose with
the notch b and projection c on the quick
connectors.
• Make sure to face the locking slider d on
each quick connector in the same direction.
2. Crimp the clamps 2.
TIP
• Position the crimped sections of the clamps
180° away from each other.
• Crimp each clamp as shown.
• Crimp each clamp so that the gap a is 1 mm
(0.04 in) or less.
Fuel hose connection
1. Connect:
• Quick connector
Connecting steps:
1. Apply a thin coat of engine oil to the con-
tact surfaces of the fuel pipe 1.
2. Connect the quick connector 2 onto the
fuel pipe 1.
3. Push down on the locking slider 3 until it
clicks.
