Steering system check
1. Check:
• Steering system
Excessive play → Check the bushings,
bolts, and nuts.
Refer to "Handlebar assembly removal"
in Chapter 8.
Checking steps:
1. Turn the handlebar lock to lock, push it
back and forth, and up and down.
2. Check for excessive play of the handlebar.
Jet thrust nozzle steering angle check and
adjustment
1. Check:
• Jet thrust nozzle distances a and b
Difference above specification → Adjust
the steering cable joint.
Difference of distances a and b:
Maximum 5 mm (0.2 in)
Checking steps:
1. Set the QSTS grip to the neutral position.
2. Turn the handlebar lock to lock.
3. Measure distances a and b.
