NOTICE
Before removing the engine, make sure to
take adequate measures to protect the
deck opening from damage.
Removal steps:

TIP
Slide the engine cover rearward, and then lift
the cover to remove it.

1. Remove:
• Engine unit
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable 1
and positive battery cable 2 from the bat-
tery.
2. Remove the electrical box cover 3.
3. Extract the engine oil.
Refer to "Engine oil change" in Chapter 3.
4. Remove the service lid 4.
5. Remove the deck beam bolts 5, 6, and
7 and nuts 8, and then remove the deck
beam assembly 9.
6. Remove the engine cover screws 0, and
then remove the engine cover A.
