6. Loosen the intake and exhaust camshaft
cap bolts in the sequence shown.
TIP
• For reference during installation, put identifi-
cation marks d on the camshaft caps.
• Gradually loosen the camshaft cap bolts.
7. Remove the intake camshaft 8 and
exhaust camshaft 9.
TIP
To prevent the timing chain from falling into the
crankcase, secure it with a wire 0.
8. Hold each camshaft sprocket with the spe-
cial service tool A, and then loosen the
bolts B.
Camshaft wrench A:
90890-06724
9. Remove the exhaust camshaft sprocket C
and intake camshaft sprocket D.
