4.10.1 ANALOG OUTPUT SETUP

FUG1010GCN provides current, voltage and pulse-rate analog outputs. [Analog Output Setup] allows
you to assign data functions for these signals. The computer's terminal strip contains the analog output
terminals.

Assigning Io Output Functions

The Io analog output is a self-powered, isolated 4-20mA DC signal that varies linearly in relation to a se-
lected data function. Some models feature auxiliary current outputs that are loop powered.
CAUTION: Do not connect self-powered Io outputs to a powered loop.
The flowmeter's 4-20 mA outputs (except for the Auxiliaries provided in certain A-option models of the
FUG1010GCN flowmeter) provide a "Fault" indication by dropping to approximately 2 mA when the
flowmeter's primary sensing mechanism is unable to measure the flowrate and fault is declared. This
fault current is generated regardless of the variable currently selected for that output.
4 to 20 mA varies in proportion to an assigned data function.
0 to 10 Vdc varies in proportion to an assigned data function.
0 to 5000 Hz varies in proportion to an assigned data function.

Represents a re-transmit of the analog input signals (e.g., Pressure and
Temp inputs can be transmitted on the 4/20 mA output).
